The Cowboy Rides Away...

Tonight we went with Dave, Vicky, Jenna, and Skylar to a George Strait concert at the Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake. This is the second George Strait concert Preston and I have gone to. Preston especially wanted to go to this concert because this is George Strait's farewell tour "The Cowboy Rides Away." George will continue to produce music and perform, but he won't do any more tours. He is 60 years old.

Martina McBride opened for George. She's got a pretty darn good voice. She's a belter.

I was also impressed to see that she was dressed modestly.

This was a fun song she sang and let the audience sing parts of it.

Ummm.... I just don't even know..

He was about to pop with anticipation.

And here he is. The king of country music. From Wikipedia: George Strait holds the world record for more number-one hit singles than any other artist in the history of music on any chart or in any genre, having recorded 59 number-one hit singles as of 2012. He has sold more than 68.5 million albums in the United States and his certifications from the RIAA include 13 multi-platinum, 33 platinum, and 38 gold albums.
